Meat and Potato Casserole
Ingredients
For the Filling
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)
- 1 medium onion, chopped (~¾ cup)
- 5 medium potatoes (about 2 lbs), peeled and thinly sliced (~4–5 cups)
- 1 (10.75 oz) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup beef broth (low-sodium if preferred)
- ¼ cup heavy whipping cream (or half-and-half for lighter version)
- 1 tsp dried rosemary (crush between fingers for best flavor)
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
